It is anticipated that the role will be in our Area 1 Team, based out of our office in either Fareham, Reading or Swindon. Please note however that the successful candidate may be required to work in any Area or out of any Office in the Region (Chessington, Fareham, Hove, Reading, Swindon or Welling). Please also note that successful candidate will need to spend an initial period of time with our Regional Organising Team, based out of our Regional Office in Chessington.
The successful candidate will:
- Possess a flexible attitude and a full range of organising, recruitment and administrative skills as outlined in the job description.
- Be able to work on their own initiative to undertake duties in a professional and efficient manner.
- Have an understanding of the GMB, other Trade Unions as well as commitment to the wider Trade Union and Labour Movement.
- Applicants must be prepared to work as a team, and the successful candidate would display strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively in challenging environments.
- On a personal basis, the applicant would need to display energy, enthusiasm, resilience, commitment, and an ability to use initiative.
We are looking for someone who possesses the ability to work well independently but is also a real team player.
In return, we offer excellent terms and benefits, including:
- Final Salary Pension Scheme
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Childcare Assistance Scheme
- Season Ticket Loan
- Cycle to Work Scheme
- Generous holiday allowance
- Eye Care claim back Scheme
- Annual Leave Purchase Scheme
- Annual Health Check
This is a varied and interesting role, based in a friendly and engaging team; if you think you may be who we’re looking for, and if you feel you meet the criteria outlined in the person specification of the job description, we’d like to hear from you.
